Overview

As a Superintendent at Danis, you’ll lead the day-to-day field operations on a large, complex data center project in Austin. You’ll be responsible for driving execution in the field—ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee field teams, coordinate trade partners, and take ownership of how the project comes together. You’ll play a key role in planning, problem-solving, and maintaining strong communication across the jobsite.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Field Leadership & Execution

  • Lead daily field operations to ensure work is aligned with project schedule, safety, and quality expectations
  • Oversee subcontractors, self-perform teams, and field personnel across multiple scopes of work
  • Plan and coordinate construction activities, sequencing work for efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain a strong presence in the field, identifying and addressing issues before they impact progress

Planning & Coordination

  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term schedules in collaboration with the project team
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and trade partners to keep work aligned
  • Identify and resolve constructability challenges, trade conflicts, and workflow constraints
  • Lead site logistics planning and ensure smooth jobsite operations

Quality & Safety

  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all company and project safety standards
  • Maintain a high level of quality across all phases of construction
  • Conduct site walks, inspections, and coordination meetings to ensure work meets expectations
  • Address and document any issues or deficiencies in the field

Team Leadership & Communication

  • Lead and mentor field staff, creating a collaborative and accountable jobsite culture
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Communicate clearly and proactively to keep teams aligned and work progressing efficiently

 

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Superintendent or field leadership role within construction
  • Strong background in commercial or mission-critical projects (data center experience is a plus)
  • Deep understanding of construction sequencing, coordination, and jobsite operations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience with scheduling tools, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

This is a field-based role on an active construction site in Austin, TX. Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Physical Demands

Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, lift up to 50 pounds, and remain on your feet for extended periods. Must be able to safely navigate active construction sites and work in a variety of weather conditions.
