Responsibilities- Ensuring our projects run smoothly on time, and to the highest standards.
- Contributing towards the success of major infrastructure developments through effective leadership and organizational skills.
- Supporting on-site supervision of construction activities and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Assisting in coordinating daily on-site construction activities.
- Enforcing health and safety protocols in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Supervising subcontractors and ensuring their tasks are completed efficiently.
- Supporting scheduling, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Communicating updates regularly to the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
- Assisting with scheduling and the coordination of suppliers and sub-trades
- Assisting with scheduling and coordination of crews to sites.
- Completing and maintaining daily journals/site records.
- Organizing/Preparing administrative documents.
- Monitoring tools and equipment on site for cost control.
- Documenting and preparing work documents for submission to the client.
- Reviewing and monitoring Amico and its Subcontractors' deficiencies and required corrective actions.
Qualifications• Post-secondary degree or diploma from a Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant capacity.
• Working knowledge of contracts, industry practices and codes.
• Must possess strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
• Problem solving skills and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe. Previous HCSS software experience is preferred.
• Previous scheduling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge / understanding of surveying & site layouts, grades, etc.
• Experience supervising construction sites, ideally in infrastructure or civil works.
• Knowledgeable about OH&S standards, and site safety practices.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proven organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be an effective communicator and team leader.
• The ability to successfully apply a mix of technical expertise, team coordination skills, and attention to detail. These contributions will help deliver projects that meet expectations.
