Super Scrum Master / Program Manager Client: Wealth Management Technology (Fortune 500 Financial Services) Location: Hybrid - NYC Duration: 12+ months Start: ASAP A leading wealth management technology organization is seeking an experienced Super Scrum Master/Program Manager to take ownership of a program currently flagged at-risk (red status) and drive it back to a healthy delivery state (green). This role requires managing three concurrent Scrum teams, so strong multi-team coordination, stakeholder management, and servant-leadership skills are essential. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and can quickly diagnose and resolve delivery blockers. Key Responsibilities - Serve as Scrum Master for three Scrum teams simultaneously, facilitating ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros, backlog refinement) across all teams - Assess the current state of the program to identify root causes behind its red status (delivery delays, quality issues, misalignment, blocked dependencies, team dysfunction, etc.) - Build and execute a recovery plan to bring the program back to green, including clear metrics/KPIs to track progress - Remove impediments and proactively manage risks and dependencies across teams - Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and senior stakeholders to realign scope, timelines, and expectations - Improve team velocity, predictability, and delivery quality through coaching and process improvements - Provide regular status reporting and escalation to program/senior leadership - Foster collaboration and communication across the three teams to reduce duplication and misalignment Required Qualifications - 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with demonstrated experience managing multiple teams concurrently - Proven track record of turning around at-risk/red programs - Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks (SAFe experience a plus given multi-team scope) - Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills - Experience in wealth management or asset management strongly preferred - Scrum certification required (CSM, PSM, or equivalent); SAFe Agilist or SPC a plus - Comfortable operating with minimal documentation/direction in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Nice to Have - Prior experience specifically in wealth management or asset management technology platforms - Experience coaching/mentoring other Scrum Masters - Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or equivalent Agile tooling at scale
