Role

The Core HR technology team plays a critical role in enabling HR Technology to deliver against its mission to bring innovation and value to the Bank with confidence and reliability.

What will we expect from you?

  • Provide highly specialized technical experience in the analysis, design, development, configuration and support of cost effective, online HR management and decision support systems, specifically in Role Based Permissions Management and Platform changes as identified by the Core HR Technology management team.
  • The incumbent is responsible for the resolution of complex business problems and must work under tight deadlines, conflicting priorities and changing project requirements. This includes managing multiple small projects, participating in and/or managing specific sections of large projects, and providing ongoing support to all assigned units worldwide (utilizing Agile methodologies where applicable).
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems. Includes analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into systems requirement specifications.
  • Attend Intake meetings and Coordinate changes with other Labs.
  • Provide support on related APM and Playbook updates and their supporting documents are required and following Scotiabank Corporate Policies
  • Provide support across all modules with a focus on Role Based Permissions and Platform features, ensuring processes are followed and the appropriate approvals are received.
  • As a key member of the Platform team, provide guidance to stakeholders, improve knowledge of RBP and other areas of the SuccessFactors Platform, within the business and GHRT and contribute to improvement of processes.
  • Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs, by applying their HR and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, participating in the reengineering of the HR business process workflows and liaising with the users.
  • Participate in the systems implementation process by interpreting business requirements into technical specifications, systems analysis, documenting detailed reporting requirements, configuration of HR
  • vendor software, ensuring integration with existing related HR systems, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and
  • implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.
  • Participate in the review of Quality Assurance (QA) test strategies for assigned projects/initiatives to ensure the planned testing is comprehensive and consistent with the business requirements. Support QA testing by analyzing defects to: (i) provide clarification of business requirements; (ii) provide clarification of technical specifications; (iii) define which defects need to be resolved for implementation; and (iv) negotiate the severity classification of defects with the user.
  • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, strategies and policies, industry best practices and methodologies, regulatory requirements, internal bank processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.


What You Will Bring to Succeed

  • Lead conversation with business users and provide guidance on configuration and best practices.
  • Be able to configure Role Based Permission (RBP) over multiple SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Recruiting Management, Onboarding, etc.
  • Request transport movement and unit test changes and work with existing team to understand and document impact of changes and new requirements.
  • Participate in the accurate creation of configuration workbooks.
  • Participate and understand in all types of test phases (QAT and UAT)
  • Conduct demo to explain current configuration of permission setup for each iteration covered during testing or review processes.
  • Creative, self-starting, results oriented and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills to apply this knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems.
  • Must have a good understanding of Control Standards, Change Management, and other related Bank policies.
  • Small projects while planning and scheduling resources within those projects to optimize productivity.


Must have Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years Business Analysis experience
  • A recognized under-graduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Human Resources or a related discipline, along with 2 to 4 years of practical experience is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SAP SuccessFactors Role Based Permission and other Platform features.
  • Ability to speak fluently in English and Spanish is nice to have
  • Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
