We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Substation Designer to join our team at K&A Power Group in

Role Expectations:- Prepare physical layout drawings for substations and produce electrical plans and sections as well as grounding and conduit drawings.
- Prepare bills of materials and review drawings and specifications.
- Responsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation drawings:
- Substation General Arrangement
- Substation AIS design
- Substation Electrical Equipment Plans
- Substation Section Views (Elevations)
- Substation Detailed Bill of Material
- Substation Grounding Plan
- Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details
- Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan
- Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section
What we're looking for:- Experience 5+ years experience in utility substation design
- A 2 year associates degree in engineering technology or drafting is preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD, P4A modeling and MicroStation.
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
