In this position...
  • The Ford Credit Technology team in Dearborn, Michigan is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development, modernization, and strategic evolution of the Subscription Revenue Platform (SRP).
  • SRP is a mission-critical enterprise platform responsible for subscription lifecycle management, billing, invoicing, revenue management, accounting integrations, tax compliance, and financial data integrity across Ford's subscription and enterprise billing ecosystem.
  • The successful candidate will lead a high-performing engineering organization while partnering closely with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, Business Owners, and global technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant platform capabilities. This leader will also help advance engineering productivity and quality through AI-assisted development, AI Agents, intelligent automation, and modern software engineering practices.


Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Software Engineers and Technical Program Managers.
  • Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Own the strategic direction and execution of SRP, including billing, invoicing, revenue management, accounting integrations, tax processing, and enterprise billing capabilities.
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, Finance, and Business stakeholders to define roadmaps, priorities, and investment strategies.
  • Drive platform scalability, resiliency, and long-term architectural evolution.
  • Own platform reliability, performance, supportability, and operational readiness.
  • Lead incident management, problem management, and continuous service improvement.
  • Balance strategic platform growth with production operations and KTLO responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, security, and governance requirements.
  • Drive data quality, auditability, and transaction integrity across the platform.
  • Advance engineering capabilities through automation, DevOps, AI-assisted development, and AI Agents.


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including people leadership and technical delivery leadership.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale platforms and engineering organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise billing, revenue, accounting, tax, and financial systems.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience driving operational excellence, engineering modernization, automation, and AI-enabled development practices.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Experience with Zuora Subscription Management, Billing, and Revenue.
  • Experience with ERP, accounting, finance, or enterprise billing platforms.
  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures, and platform modernization initiatives.
  • Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams and large-scale enterprise programs.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
