Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Experience with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories.
  • Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
  • Synthesizes customer contractual needs, requirements, and technical, schedule into solutions for integrating, testing, evaluating, and transitioning systems into operations to deliver enterprise capabilities.
  • Development of test plans and procedures to support Electronic Warfare subsystems integration, verification, and validation within the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS).
  • Lead the execution of test events for Electronic Warfare systems in the lab environment, at NUWC, Contractor testing facilities, shipyards and onboard submarines.
  • Linux experience with file structure and basic troubleshooting commands to be used in the building, configuration and integration of new software for TI-24 and TI-26 systems.
  • Understand the Common Computer Environment (CCE) integration for TI-22 and new technical insertions i.e. TI-24 (+) used System of System and SWFTs software environment.
  • Generation, review, and validation of system requirements verification matrices from performance specifications to support test plan and procedure development.
  • Communication skills to support coordination of test events with ranges, platforms, TYCOMs, sponsors, and the test teams.
  • Development of test reports following completion of the test events. Analysis of data output from test events.
  • Development of emitter simulations to model the environment for lab-based testing.
  • Perform Builder analysis in support of test planning and data analysis.
  • Testing and characterization of RF hardware.
  • Roughly 25% travel (domestic only) required to support the AN/BLQ-10 (Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)s and Performance Verification Test (PVT)s.
  • Actively participate in the events and provide daily reports to the T&E team.
  • Review AN/BLQ-10 T&E documentation and provide valuable feedback to ensure testing is done properly and accurately.

Qualifications

  • Experience as US Navy Submarine IT (E/S) Technician
  • BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
  • Formal testing experience on a Depertment of Defense (DoD) production delivery environment
  • Experience working proactively with local and remote test team members
  • Solid verbal and communications skills among your peers, up the chain of command, along with written/communication skills via Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with testing in an Agile development environment
  • Knowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Working knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Experience working in the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS) submarine community
  • Recognition of relevant information, and clear communication of issues and alternatives
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
