Job Description

Reporting to the Engines and Power Systems New Product Sourcing (NPI) Director; this position will lead the contract penetration of FAR15 subcontracts supporting key Honeywell programs for development to production. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with build-to-spec parts, government contracting regulations, including Far, DFARs, TINA requirements, and end-to-end subcontract lifecycle management. This role plays a critical part in ensuring sourcing strategy alignment, supplier execution, and long-term contract success.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead subcontract strategy and FAR15 contract execution for build-to-spec parts across high-priority programs.
  • Review engineering documentation and specifications for built-to-spec parts, identifying sourcing risks and opportunities.
  • Create and implement sourcing strategies that align with program needs and schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Legal to define Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical deliverables.
  • Lead supplier meetings to align technical requirements, schedules, and development milestones.
  • Drive the creation and negotiation of development contracts with suppliers, ensuring appropriate terms, pricing, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance during the development phase; proactively resolve issues to keep programs on track.
  • Negotiate pricing for both development and production phases of the part lifecycle.
  • Transition developed parts to long-term agreements (LTAs) to ensure continuity of supply and commercial advantage.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAR15 government processes, including managing FARs and DFARs and other contract-specific requirements.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment with program deliverables and contractual obligations.
  • Build strong negotiation positions for contract execution
  • Manage key program suppliers
  • Mentor and train team members


Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, L&C, Subcontracts

  • Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations

  • Procurement experience within defense, aerospace, or similar industry
  • Experience managing subcontracts FFP, CP, CPIF, etc.
  • Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD)
  • Ability to understand and negotiate terms and conditions
  • Ability to work independently
