Are you looking for a Subcontracts Administrator opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day? Join our Procurement team, either a hybrid work arrangement from at our Herndon, Virginia headquarters or remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Play a key part in driving impact across the organization.

Position Description & Qualifications:

Work with an experienced team leading and conducting subcontract negotiation, competitions, and administration of major subcontracts.You will be an essential member of a program team, managing Requests for Proposal for labor and materials subcontracts of medium to high complexity.

In this Role you will:

  • Work effectively in a project team environment to ensure that programmatic timelines for pricing/ proposal support and subcontract/purchase order awards are met.
  • Develop competitive and single/sole source Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for federal services and products of medium to high complexity and price. Understands how to tailor prime contract requirements; understand various contract type options and their proper use to ensure selected contract will result in the lowest risk and best performance for Serco and its clients.
  • Lead a program team in subcontractor negotiations concerning price, terms, and delivery schedule.
  • Award subcontracts of high complexity, price, and documents all actions within department compliance standards.
  • Provide effective subcontractor management ensuring compliance with negotiated price, terms and delivery schedule. Communicate/ escalate subcontractor performance issues promptly.
  • Close out subcontracts, including cost-reimbursable subcontracts, timely.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • US Citizenship
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Experience in US government procurement, preferably with a peer prime contractor supporting large labor subcontracts
  • Minimum 8 yearsof experience in a federal contracting environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal contracting requirements (FAR/ DFAR)and contract law
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Work effectively in a project team environment, ensuring that schedules for pricing/ proposal support and subcontract/purchase order awards are met
  • Provide effective subcontractor/supplier management ensuring compliance with negotiated price, terms, and delivery schedule
  • Effectively manage multiple simultaneous and rapidly changing priorities, and meet agreed-upon schedules
  • Proven problem-solving skills
