Structural Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Project Manager role is responsible for project management of projects ranging in scope and scale. They work collaboratively with the project team and external clients to ensure that what we deliver provides value and is delivered with an effective workflow. They plan the project, manage the budget and schedule, coordinate with the client, ensure that all deliverables are complete, and ensure that all project execution steps fully adhere to defined process requirements.

Responsibilities:

Manage Project-Level Budget-to-Target Profit
  • Create project budget in alignment with fee, schedule, and milestone strategy.
  • Manage budget through review of KPI's, communicating progress and roadblocks address red flags, driving the optimization of profitability.
  • Forecast billing and manage forecast as project progresses.

Manage Schedule for External Clients and Internal teams
  • Facilitate kick off, sprint planning and project check ins that meet the definition of success.
  • Manage schedule through review of plan, KPIs, communicate progress and roadblocks, address red flags.
  • Serve as client's main point of contact and independently manage client coordination
  • Attend client meetings, phone calls, and email exchanges.
  • Ensure appropriate technical resources are properly coordinated for applicable client meetings.
  • Communicate project budget/timeline/scope updates to client.
  1. Manage Scope to Contract
  • Identify and document out of scope tasks in Sprint Plans
  • Coordinate internal strategy meetings with project team and Team or Program Manager
  • Drive Client Negotiations for scope/budget/cost management and change control.
  • Identify and communicate objectives and deliverables aligned with schedule and budget.
  1. Facilitate and manage any outsourced resources
  • Determine project resource needs and recommend solutions for addressing gaps.
  • Manage any outsourced resources with KPIs aligned with project scope, budget, and timeline.
  1. Client Management
  • Value internal and external clients and respond to their needs as they arise.
  • Establish effective working relationship with clients.
  • Follow established communication guidelines.
  • Use good judgment in what and how to communicate with clients.

Communication
  • Identify issues early, elevate and ensure they are resolved to ensure that all project stakeholders are working efficiently and bale to provide the client with the highest level of service possible
  • Provide on time reporting upstream to the Team Managers and VP of Operations and downstream to the project team
  • Listen to others and accept input from team members.
  • Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally.
  • Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 years of experience with Structural Engineering in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience starting and managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience working with virtual teams.
  • PMP highly preferred
