Electrical Designer/Engineer Job Summary:The Electrical Engineer/Designer will work in a multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects for a variety of markets.
In this role, you won't just design electrical systems for commercial buildings - you'll play a key role in bringing ambitious ideas to life as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer/Designer to be part of our firm and grow with us.
In this role, you will:- Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Understanding and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment
- Edit electrical system specifications
- Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components
- Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents
- Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress
- Interact with project team members and leaders
- Support the Data Center and Mission Critical Group
You will be a great fit if:- You have an Associates or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar) is a plus.
- You have 3-5 years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
- You have design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
- You have hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
