The OpportunityAs a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager, you'll play a key role on a collaborative, technically excellent structural engineering team. You'll lead projects through all phases conceptual design, detailed analysis, construction documentation, and coordination-while working closely with architects, consultants, and clients.
This is more than a production role. You'll:
- Shape structural solutions for complex, non-prescriptive buildings
- Lead and mentor engineers
- Guide performance-based design and peer review processes
- Have a real voice in project direction and delivery
You'll be trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues, and given room to grow technically and professionally.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead structural design efforts using a variety of systems and materials
- Develop construction documents, calculations, and technical narratives
- Manage and mentor in-house design teams
- Coordinate closely with architects and design consultants
- Lead and participate in performance-based design, including peer review
- Contribute to the design of commercial office, residential, and healthcare projects
- Help drive quality, efficiency, and thoughtful engineering solutions
What We're Looking For- Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)
- 6+ years of structural design experience
- Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.)
- Experience with performance-based design of tall buildings and/or seismic renovations
- Working knowledge of LATB, ASCE 41, or similar methodologies
- Experience navigating the peer review process for non-prescriptive structures
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Work Environment & Travel- Primarily office-based work with occasional site visits (Greater Seattle area)
- Some domestic travel for projects, conferences, or recruiting
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote (after onboarding)
Compensation & Benefits- $110,000 - $150,000 base salary, depending on experience
