OverviewThe Structural Professional Engineer is responsible for leading the structural design and analysis of a variety of building and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with Parkhill’s integrated MEP/S team. This position plays a key role in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions that meet client expectations and advance the firm’s mission of building stronger communities. This is a full-time position, paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare plans, reports, and studies for review.
- Direct technicians and EIT’s for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently.
- Interface with Clients when appropriate alongside Project Managers.
- Visit construction sites to observe progress and determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications.
- Research design criteria, regulations, and standards as they relate to projects and incorporate them into design documents.
- Mentor others in the proficient use of design software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering required
- Passed the Professional Engineer exam and can provide a PE license number
- The ability to use Revit/BIM is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of structural building design experience in a consulting role
