Full Job Description
The Structural Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating structural systems to ensure buildings and other structures are safe, stable, code-compliant, and economical. The role involves structural calculations, design development, preparation of construction documents, coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines, and support during construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design structural systems for buildings, facilities, bridges, or other structures using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
  • Perform structural analysis, calculations, and load assessments.
  • Prepare structural drawings, specifications, details, and engineering reports.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings for structural coordination.
  • Use structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RISA, RAM Structural System, or Tekla, as applicable.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and evaluate existing structures, defects, damage, or structural modifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction-related documentation.
  • Provide technical support during construction and resolve structural issues.
  • Prepare project estimates, schedules, and technical documentation when required.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure work meets quality standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required depending on position and jurisdiction.
  • Experience with structural analysis and design of relevant materials and systems.
  • Proficiency with engineering design and drafting software.
