Jo b Su mm a ry :
The Mid-Level Structural Designer with direction from a Group Leader will be responsible for preparing 3D models and 2D drawings for the design of complex offshore/onshore structural systems utilizing 3D and 2D software.
Jo b Dut i e s an d R e s pon s i b i l i t i e s:
• Prepare 3D models and drawings for assigned projects from sketches or SACs model output files and/or verbal instructions from Group Leader or Engineer;
• Design technical details and specify dimensions, materials;
• Design & Draft Skids/Modules structural, from concept through AFC;
• Design & Draft Onshore/Offshore structures, from concept through AFC;
• Design & Draft multi-discipline supports details, from concept through AFC;
• Edit drawings and incorporate changes from provided markups and/or verbal instructions;
• Assist engineers and designers in resolving design issues, interferences/clashes;
• Interact with design team for resolving drafting/design related issues;
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to Client, Industry and Company Standards;
• Maintain project files and folders and follow company standards;
• Responsible for informing project leads on any and all concerns relating to their respective assignment;
• Perform field work as required to obtain accurate information and create sketches for the design of the project;
• Duration determined by the project requirements and project management.
Q ua li f i c a t i on s ( Kno wl e d g e , S ki l l s a n d Abi l i t i e s ) :
• HS Diploma or the equivalent;
• Requires accredited drafting training and discipline training or have prior working experience;
• Requires a minimum of five (5) years with less than ten (10) years' structural drafting and design; experience relating to Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas facilities (Offshore and Onshore);
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
• Proficient with design software i.e. (AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks) PDMS a plus but not required;
• Must have a working knowledge of AISC, AWS, API RP 2A, and OSHA standards;
• Must have working knowledge of AISC steel members and AWS weld symbols;
• Familiarity with project systems to include civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical components to allow considerations of those aspects into structural design as required;
• Ability and availability to work occasional overtime to include weekends as dictated by project requirements;
• The ability to interact with all levels of staff.
Wo r king C ond i t i on s:
• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private, Semi-Private Office or office cubicle) but may also require occasional travel to off-site work locations.
• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere.
• Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

• Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds;
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication which permits the employee to communicate effectively.

• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits the employee to conduct analysis and investigations.
• Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to perform routine office duties.
• Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
