Full Job Description
*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda's designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

Lambda Cloud delivers critical GPU compute to developers, enterprises, and AI-native startups. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Strategy, the Strategy and Execution Lead sets our operating cadence and builds the machinery to scale the business. This is a mid-to-senior IC role for someone who wants to build with a clear path to grow as the business scales. 12 months in, the systems you built run themselves and you've moved on to the next hard thing.

What You'll Do
  • Own Lambda Cloud's weekly, monthly and quarterly operating cadence across business review and planning.
  • Own the financial models that drive our strategic decisions (what we buy, where it goes, how we package it)
  • Build the business unit's P&L and operating metrics in collaboration with finance. This is how we evaluate and improve profitability.
  • Pilot and establish the process for requesting long-term capital investment in foundational projects.
  • Build the demand forecast system that optimizes what gets deployed when.
  • Operate at the seams with other teams such as supply, product, pricing, and support. Turn ad-hoc work such as deal pricing into well-understood and durable operating agreements.
  • Keep the system efficient as it scales. Reduce manual overhead and simplify business processes in ways our customers won't see but the business will feel such as billing automation.

You
  • 5+ years (or 4+ with an advanced degree) spanning strategy, business operations, finance or revenue operations.
  • You've built decision-grade financial models from the ground up with incomplete data. You can defend your assumptions and verify thoroughly before you put your name on a number.
  • You lead cross-functionally without formal authority. You've gotten partner teams like supply, product, pricing, or finance moving in the same direction with a clear outcome.
  • You are comfortable in the details of operational systems and process design. You've mapped and fixed broken workflows.
  • You're an owner. You carry problems to a clear outcome and put your name on the result.
  • You communicate crisply and have partnered credibly across peer teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to Have
  • You've started rebuilding some of your own work with AI and want to go much further.
  • You've done BizOps, Finance, or RevOps at a high-growth cloud, infrastructure, or hardware company.
  • Regularly presented to executive leadership
  • Commercial fluency across sales motions, deal structures, and pricing.
  • Exposure to capacity planning or capex allocation in the millions. Even better if billions.
