In this position...

Ford Motor Credit Company is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Strategic Sourcing Analyst to drive the procurement of indirect software and service solutions. In this fast-paced role, you will spearhead cost-saving strategies, manage category roadmaps, and execute end-to-end sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFP/RFQ).

Acting as a vital bridge between business owners, internal stakeholders, and supply partners, you will negotiate complex contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and SLAs-leveraging commercial creativity to secure optimal pricing and quality even in low-leverage situations.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform analysis of complex data sets and contribute to reporting related to sourcing activities.
  • Strategy & Process Contribution: Support the development of cost-saving strategies and roadmaps for category management. You will also contribute to improving our sourcing process by identifying weaknesses and supporting the development of best-in-class policies and procedures.
  • Operational Support: Provide direct support for existing and new purchased services for Ford Credit operations.
  • Business Partnership: Support business owners who may have limited experience with Ford Supply Chain and Purchasing processes, policies, and systems.
  • Liaison & Negotiation: Act as a key liaison between suppliers, business owners, and various internal teams (vendor management, security & controls, Office of General Counsel/IT Contracts/Corporate Insurance) to negotiate purchase order terms, conditions, and statements of work.
  • Sourcing Initiatives: Participate in Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) initiatives to evaluate services and support sourcing decisions.
  • Sourcing Execution: Conduct appropriate sourcing activities to deliver quality services at the best cost, with minimal risks to Ford Motor Credit Company.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Provide feedback to valued supply partners on their cost position relative to the market to help build effective long-term, productive relationships.
  • Market Awareness: Collaborate with business owners and internal stakeholders to stay informed about current and future technologies, understand the latest supply base footprint, and analyze financial health ratings and trends of suppliers.
  • Supplier Onboarding: Participate in the due diligence process for new supplier onboarding.


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience with Indirect Sourcing
  • Demonstrated experience partnering and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple business units
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and collaborative skills, paired with a curious, creative, versatile, and strategic mindset that keeps sight of the bigger picture
  • Skilled negotiator with commercial creativity, able to drive effective outcomes even in low-leverage or non-cost-based situations, backed by a solid understanding of Supply Chain and Purchasing Policies & Procedures, sourcing requirements, and key milestones
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including sourcing analysis, business case evaluation, and cost/risk analysis (cost drivers, modeling, Global Terms, and cost analytics)
  • Experience in contract development, including service contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and metrics-based performance management
  • Adaptable and results-driven, with the ability to think concurrently, manage competing priorities, and maintain high energy and focus in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Effective meeting facilitation skills, including preparing agendas and communicating minutes/decisions to key stakeholders
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, with Aurora/Ariba experience preferred

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500., This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
