Position Description:

CGI is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Strategic Sales Generalist - Western Region to drive growth for our ERP solutions across the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market.
This role will focus on identifying, developing, and closing strategic ERP opportunities with public sector organizations across the Western United States. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in enterprise software, ERP solutions, or technology consulting sales, along with demonstrated experience navigating complex State and Local Government buying environments.

Location & Work Model : Open to candidates near any CGI U.S. office.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a strategic sales and territory growth plan for ERP solutions across State, Local, and Education organizations in the Western Region.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and close net-new ERP and enterprise transformation opportunities within targeted public sector accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior government stakeholders, including CIOs, CFOs, CHROs, procurement leaders, finance executives, technology leaders, and agency executives.
• Understand client business challenges, modernization priorities, procurement strategies, funding cycles, and technology roadmaps to effectively position CGI's ERP capabilities.
• Drive the full sales lifecycle, from account planning and opportunity identification through qualification, solution positioning, RFP response, oral presentations, negotiations, and contract award.
• Develop account strategies for priority State and Local Government organizations and establish relationships well in advance of formal procurements.
• Collaborate closely with solution engineers, ERP subject matter experts, solution architects, delivery leaders, proposal teams, and executive sponsors to develop compelling client solutions.
• Position ERP capabilities across areas such as Financial Management, Budgeting, Procurement, Human Resources, Payroll, Grants Management, and enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Develop a strong understanding of the competitive ERP landscape, including solutions such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, Tyler Technologies, CGI Advantage, and other public sector enterprise platforms.
• Leverage existing relationships and develop new executive-level connections across the SLED market to build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor government modernization initiatives, budgets, procurement forecasts, RFP activity, legislative funding priorities, and competitive developments across the assigned territory.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, forecast, and account information and provide regular updates to sales and executive leadership.
• Represent CGI at government technology conferences, industry associations, executive forums, and public sector networking events.
• Coordinate with strategic technology and consulting partners where appropriate to strengthen CGI's market position and pursuit strategy.
• Support CGI's broader growth strategy by identifying opportunities for ERP modernization, cloud transformation, managed services, and adjacent consulting capabilities.
• Travel as required for client meetings, industry events, conferences, presentations, and strategic pursuits.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, ERP, software, or consulting sales/business development, with experience supporting the public sector.
• Demonstrated experience selling to State, Local, and/or Education (SLED) organizations, preferably within the Western U.S. market.
• Proven experience selling or positioning ERP, SaaS, cloud-based enterprise applications, or digital transformation solutions to government clients.
• Knowledge of ERP platforms such as CGI Advantage, Oracle, SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, or comparable enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of the public sector sales lifecycle, including territory and account development, government procurement, RFPs, competitive pursuits, negotiations, and complex, long-cycle enterprise sales.
• Proven ability to generate net-new business, build strategic account relationships, develop pipeline, and advance opportunities from initial identification through contract award.
• Ability to establish trusted relationships and effectively engage CIOs, CFOs, CHROs, procurement leaders, technology executives, and other senior government decision-makers.
• Understanding of government budgeting and procurement cycles, modernization initiatives, funding priorities, and enterprise technology buying processes.
• Familiarity with public sector business functions such as Financial Management, Budgeting, Procurement, HR/HCM, Payroll, Grants Management, and related administrative operations.
• Experience collaborating with pre-sales, solution engineering, delivery, proposal, partner, and executive leadership teams to develop and execute complex ERP pursuits.
• Established relationships or a professional network within Western U.S. State and Local Government is highly desirable.
• Experience working with government technology partners, system integrators, advisory firms, or public sector industry associations is beneficial.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and executive engagement skills.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive approach, with the persistence and resilience required to navigate complex government organizations and extended sales cycles.
• Ability to independently manage a regional territory and multiple strategic pursuits while working effectively within a collaborative, matrixed organization.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Western Region based on client and business needs.

• Build a strong and sustainable Western Region SLED ERP pipeline.
• Establish trusted relationships with key government executives and decision-makers.
• Identify opportunities early in the government buying and budgeting lifecycle.
• Develop and advance net-new strategic accounts.
• Effectively position CGI's ERP capabilities against competitive alternatives.
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder pursuits from initial engagement through contract award.
• Consistently contribute to CGI's revenue, bookings, pipeline, and market expansion objectives.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $143,000.00 - $305,800.00.
