Solid executive presence, enterprise thinking, the ability to lead across the matrix, and the discipline to maintain visibility to account strategy, stakeholder priorities, and current solution footprint are critical.

  • Direct transition governance, stabilization planning, executive communications, and cross-functional decision-making for more complex client environments
  • Assess and communicate the value of Optum solutions during periods of transition to sustain confidence and maximize benefit from the client's investment, with particular focus on effectively positioning AI-enabled solutions as part of the broader Optum value story
  • Anticipate service, operational, and relationship risks across a broad portfolio and drive mitigation strategies to reduce disruption and preserve retention outcomes
  • Lead team members across the matrix and influence leaders across Operations, Product, Technology, Growth, and Delivery to align priorities and accelerate issue resolution
  • Lead business reviews, governance forums, and strategic discussions with clients that demonstrate value created, performance outcomes, and opportunities to strengthen account stability and long-term partnership value
  • Adopt an AI-first mindset to maintaining disciplined account planning, stakeholder mapping, and visibility to current solution footprint and opportunity preservation during periods of change
  • Partner with Growth and market leadership to preserve expansion opportunities, inform account plans, and strengthen long-term partnership positioning
  • Represent the voice of the customer to internal partners to inform service improvements, roadmap priorities, and account strategy
  • Identify recurring themes, client insights, and systemic risks to inform broader improvements in transition management and client engagement strategies
  • Provide leadership visibility through AI-enabled reporting and recommendations on account health, stabilization progress, customer experience performance, and value realization

Success Metrics

  • Client retention, renewal stability, and expansion preservation across a complex client portfolio
  • Customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS) performance

  • Reduction in escalation severity, operational disruption, and executive risk
  • Executive relationship continuity and stakeholder confidence
  • Quality of strategic recommendations, account planning, and leadership reporting
  • Demonstrated value realization and effectiveness of business reviews and executive communications
  • Cross-functional execution and issue resolution across complex matrixed environments
