Full Job Description
About the Role

OpenAI is building a global executive engagement program that helps our most important customers, partners, and prospects realize the full strategic value of AI. We are looking for a senior, commercially minded operator to lead this work within the Office of the CRO.

This person will design and scale a high-impact executive engagement program for OpenAI's C-suite, with a focus on priority enterprise accounts, strategic partners, and defining commercial moments. Sitting at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Communications, and the Office of the CRO, this role will turn account insights, customer priorities, and business opportunities into purposeful executive engagement that strengthens executive relationships and advances strategic customer outcomes.

This is also a key leadership role within the Office of the CRO. You will serve as a trusted partner to the Chief of Staff and CRO, leading high-priority initiatives, driving cross-functional execution, and bringing clarity, pace, and operational rigor to some of the company's most important customer engagements.

In this role, you will:
Build the Global Executive Engagement Program
  • Define the strategy, operating model, governance, and success measures for executive engagement across OpenAI's priority accounts, regions, and strategic moments.
  • Develop a scalable framework for determining where executive involvement will create the greatest customer and commercial impact.
  • Build repeatable playbooks for executive sponsorship, account planning, customer follow-through, advisory forums, executive events, and global market engagement.
  • Maintain visibility into executive relationship coverage, commitments, risks, and opportunities across priority accounts.
  • Establish the operating cadence that aligns Sales leadership, account teams, and executives around upcoming engagements, decisions, and follow-through.
  • Lead the strategy and execution for marquee executive engagement moments-including Davos, Sun Valley, and other C-suite convenings-ensuring each has clear commercial objectives and measurable outcomes.
Lead Strategic Executive Engagements
  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for high-stakes executive customer and partner engagements, from qualification and preparation through meeting design and post-meeting execution.
  • Translate complex account dynamics, customer priorities, competitive context, and OpenAI strategy into concise, decision-ready executive briefings.
  • Partner with account teams to define engagement objectives, executive attendees, customer value propositions, and desired business outcomes.
  • Coach sales leaders and account teams on executive presence, strategic storytelling, executive relationship mapping, and engagement planning.
Serve as a Strategic Leader in the Office of the CRO
  • Act as a trusted extension of the CRO, representing the Office of the CRO in cross-functional planning, operating forums, and selected customer engagements when appropriate.
  • Prepare the CRO for major customer meetings, strategic decisions, market visits, and executive events.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear recommendations, tradeoffs, and action plans for the CRO and Revenue Leadership Team.
  • Lead high-priority cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the Office of the CRO.
  • Build strong operating rhythms across the Office of the CRO, including planning cycles, executive communications, priority tracking, and accountability.
Connect Customer Insight to Action
  • Surface insights from executive conversations and strategic accounts to inform Product, GTM Strategy, Customer Success, Marketing, Communications, Research, and executive leadership.
  • Partner across functions to ensure executive engagements reflect OpenAI's strategic priorities and strongest customer narratives.
  • Expand executive relationships across priority accounts by orchestrating the right mix of OpenAI leaders, account teams, and ecosystem partners.
  • Measure program success through executive engagement, relationship health, strategic opportunity progression, customer outcomes, and commercial impact.
  • Capture repeatable executive engagement best practices and customer insights that strengthen the broader GTM organization.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, strategic accounts, executive engagement, sales strategy, management consulting, customer success, chief of staff, or another senior commercial operating role.
  • Demonstrated success partnering directly with C-suite customers and senior executives in complex, high-stakes environments.
  • Strong commercial judgment and a deep understanding of how enterprise opportunities are shaped, advanced, and closed.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive narratives, recommendations, and customer-facing materials.
  • Proven experience building scalable programs and operating models across Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and executive leadership teams.
  • Sound judgment and executive presence, with the ability to serve as a trusted proxy for senior leadership when appropriate.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills that elevate how teams prepare for and execute executive engagements.
  • Experience operating across global organizations, cultures, industries, and fast-moving priorities.
  • Intellectual curiosity about AI, enterprise transformation, and the evolving needs of customers adopting AI at scale.
What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you will have built a trusted, measurable executive engagement program that:
  • Focuses executive time on the customers and opportunities where it creates the greatest strategic value.
  • Gives account teams a consistent, high-quality path to request, prepare for, and execute executive engagements.
  • Strengthens executive relationships across OpenAI's highest-priority accounts.
  • Delivers exceptional executive meetings with clear objectives, stronger customer dialogue, and disciplined follow-through.
  • Establishes the Office of the CRO as a force multiplier for strategic customer engagements and cross-functional execution.
  • Creates a durable feedback loop between customer executives, the Revenue organization, and OpenAI's product and company leadership.
