Strategic People Business Partner - Sales and Marketing

Your role at Dynatrace

We are seeking a high-impact Strategic HR Business Partner to join the People & Culture (P&C) team, supporting Dynatrace's Americas Sales and Marketing organizations. This role is critical to enabling business growth and organizational effectiveness across revenue-generating and market-facing teams. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating business objectives into actionable people strategies that fuel performance, engagement, and scalability.
Reporting to the Senior Director HRBP, you will work cross-functionally to deliver strategic solutions across talent planning, leadership development, and organizational design. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role suited for a seasoned HR professional with prior experience supporting commercial functions-ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment. This role requires fluency in navigating various regulatory, cultural, and market dynamics across the Americas region.

Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serve as a thought partner to VP-level Sales and Marketing leadership, aligning P&C priorities with business goals and enabling long-term workforce strategies.
  • Assess organizational health and identify capability gaps; lead interventions driving productivity, agility, and team performance.
  • Partner with GTM leadership to optimize sales ramp times, quota-carrying rep retention, and territory-based org design.
  • Lead through change by shaping and executing org design, restructuring, and transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate with Regional HRBPs to exchange best practices and ensure consistent and exceptional service delivery experience to our clients.

Talent & Organizational Development
  • Partner with business leaders and P&C Centers of Excellence (ex: Total Rewards and Talent Development) to develop and execute talent strategies, including compensation and promotion planning, internal mobility, succession, and leadership development.
  • Champion performance enablement practices that foster accountability, clarity, and continuous development.
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen onboarding, career progression, and retention across Sales and Marketing functions.

Data-Driven HR Leadership
  • Leverage HCM/workforce data to surface trends and risks; correlate people metrics (attrition, engagement, internal mobility) with business metrics (quota attainment, pipeline generation) to advise GTM leaders on the ROI of talent investments.
  • Design and deploy engagement strategies that enhance employee experience and foster trust between teams and leadership.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Total Rewards to advise on variable compensation, commission structures, and Sales Incentive Plans, ensuring they drive desired behaviors and align with business objectives.
  • Act as a steward of our values by cultivating a culture of inclusion and engagement.

Policy & Compliance Leadership
  • Provide guidance and coaching to senior leaders on performance, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment practices across the Americas region, partnering with Legal, Employee Relations and Regional HRBP team(s) to mitigate risk and support complex employee relations issues.


This is a remote eligible position. Candidates who live within a 45 mile radius of Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; and Denver, CO will be required to work hybrid (2 days per week) out of our Dyntrace office.

Minimum Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience - ideally 2+ years supporting global Sales and/or Marketing business units in a SaaS or tech-driven business.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence through data.
  • Skilled in managing through ambiguity, leading change, and aligning people programs to business outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, consultative and communication skills; able to advise and challenge senior leaders with credibility and tact.
  • Experience working across the Americas strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence decision making; courage to make tough decisions.

Compensation and Rewards

DOE, salary $150K - $175K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
