About the role

The Virtual Partner Marketing Manager (vPMM) serves as a strategic marketing advisor to a portfolio of Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) and Consulting Partners. Acting as an extension of both AWS and the partner organization, the vPMMdevelops and supports the execution of joint go-to-market plans, drives marketing investment utilization, accelerates pipeline growth, and helps partners maximize the value of their AWS partnership.

This role is ideal for an experienced partner marketer who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

What you'll do

Partner Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Build and maintain Joint Marketing Plans (JMPs) aligned to AWS and partner business objectives.
  • Develop partner-specific go-to-market strategies that support pipeline growth, partner differentiation, and cloud adoption.
  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend marketing initiatives based on partner priorities, AWS programs, and market trends.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to partner marketing leaders and AWS stakeholders.

Campaign Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate activities across digital marketing, content syndication, webinars, events, ABM, and demand generation programs.
  • Manage agency engagement where appropriate and ensure timely campaign delivery.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements to maximize outcomes.

MDF & Investment Management

  • Guide partners through AWS Marketing Development Fund (MDF) planning and utilization.
  • Help partners develop funding strategies to maximize available investment.
  • Ensure compliance with AWS funding requirements and processes.
  • Track ROI and marketing impact from funded activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with AWS Partner Marketing Managers (PMMs), Partner Development Managers (PDMs), partner executives, sales teams, and solution architects.
  • Act as the primary marketing liaison between AWS, partner organizations, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular business reviews and marketing planning sessions.

Performance & Reporting

  • Analyze marketing performance metrics, pipeline contribution, ACE attribution, and campaign outcomes.
  • Provide recommendations that improve partner engagement, marketing effectiveness, and business impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in partner marketing, channel marketing, alliance marketing, B2B marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience managing strategic partner relationships within the technology industry, preferably GSI.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and demand generation.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and marketing reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with AWS, cloud technology providers, OEM vendors, GSIs, SIs, or consulting firms.
  • Knowledge of MDF programs, partner funding models, and channel ecosystems.
  • Experience with ABM, executive engagement programs, and partner-led demand generation.
  • Familiarity with pipeline attribution and partner marketing measurement frameworks.
  • Experience working with global or multinational partner organizations.


Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000
