Job Description
About the Job:
This is a high-impact regional finance role for someone who wants more than a traditional reporting position. You will act as a strategic finance partner across Latin America & Caribbean (LA&C), helping leaders and franchise partners understand performance, build stronger plans, and make sound investment decisions. The scope is broad and hands-on, combining strategic finance and planning, marketing analytics, budgeting, profitability, and development support.
LA&C operates with the pace and ownership of a startup within a global brand. You will have room to build, improve how the work gets done, and leave a visible mark on the region. Success requires someone who can move comfortably between the big picture and the details, earn trust across different markets, and turn complex analysis into clear recommendations.
This position is based in Irvine, California.
The Day-to-Day:
Strategic Finance & Regional Planning
• Lead financial planning and performance discussions across LA&C, partnering with market CFOs and regional leaders to identify growth levers, risks, and actions.
• Build annual operating plans, forecasts, scenarios, and business cases that connect market realities to regional growth priorities.
• Analyze sales, transactions, investment levels, and operating performance to explain what is happening, why it matters, and what the business should do next.
• Provide clear financial guidance on revenue opportunities, commercial decisions, capital investments, and new business opportunities.
Marketing, Growth & Profitability Analytics
• Evaluate marketing and commercial initiatives, including product launches, pricing, menu strategy, media investment, market tests, and post-launch performance.
• Partner with franchisees and cross-functional teams to improve restaurant and market profitability through financial modeling and practical recommendations.
• Support market growth and development decisions through pro forma modeling, payback analysis, cannibalization assessments, development agreements, and incentive evaluations.
• Bring external and competitive perspectives to help markets uncover new paths to profitable growth.
Budgeting, Reporting & Business Partnership
• Own key budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and performance reporting activities for the regional teams.
• Simplify and improve finance and analytics processes so leaders have timely, accurate, and decision-ready information.
• Partner across Finance, FP&A, Insights, Technology, Development, Marketing, and external vendors to deliver aligned analysis and reporting.
• Build capability with franchise partners by adapting your approach to different levels of financial maturity and helping teams apply consistent financial thinking.
Is This You?
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or a related analytical field; MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance, FP&A, commercial finance, business finance, or another highly analytical, hands-on environment.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L analysis skills, with the ability to translate data into practical business recommendations.
• Experience partnering with multiple markets, franchisees, business units, or external partners is highly valued.
• Industry background is flexible. Experience in consumer products, technology, restaurants, retail, franchising, multi-unit businesses, or a startup-style environment can be relevant.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Spanish fluency is strongly preferred because the role partners closely with franchisees and finance teams across Latin America & the Caribbean.
Work-Hard, Play-Hard:
• Hybrid work schedule (onsite expectation Tues, Wed, Thurs) and year-round flex day Friday
• Onsite childcare through Bright Horizons
• Onsite dining center and game room (yes, there is a Taco Bell inside the building)
• Onsite dry cleaning, laundry services, and carwash
• Onsite gym with fitness classes and personal trainer sessions
• Up to 4 weeks of vacation per year plus holidays and time off for volunteering
• Generous parental leave for all new parents and adoption assistance program
• 401(k) with a 6% matching contribution from Yum! Brands with immediate vesting
• Comprehensive medical & dental including prescription drug benefits and 100% preventive care
