Program Executive Office Submarines, Program Manager for the Virginia-Class Submarine (PMS 450), is responsible for the acquisition of the U.S. Navy's newest class of nuclear-powered attack submarines. PMS 450 identifies, assembles, manages, directs, and coordinates the resources required for research and development, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and fleet introduction.
PMS 450 is responsible for developing and deploying an affordable, nuclear-powered attack submarine with multi-mission capabilities and enhanced performance in littoral environments. Virginia-Class submarines support five of the Navy's six core maritime capabilities: Deterrence, Maritime Security, Sea Control, Forward Presence, and Power Projection.
The Opportunity
Serco North America is seeking a motivated professional to provide programmatic support to a NAVSEA customer within PMS 450, the Virginia-Class Submarine Program Office.
In this role, you will support the execution of the Strategic Engagement effort for Team Submarine, providing acquisition and program management support across a range of high-visibility activities. You will work closely with Navy leadership, government stakeholders, and program personnel to coordinate strategic engagements, manage official records and recognition programs, develop communications products, and support critical submarine technology initiatives.

What You'll Do
- Support implementation and execution of the Strategic Engagement Plan for Team Submarine.
- Work with the Team Sub Front Office to help organize and plan for decreasing the time necessary to build submarines and look to see where PMS450 could rely less on technological advances that may delay launching our ships.
- Process, log, and track civilian, military, and contractor award requests, ensuring accurate routing, complete packages, and timely issuance of official recognitions.
- Lead or support leading system integration teams while developing the new strategic engagement.
- Support the mission of getting submarines built in a timelier fashion and all that requires documentation, records management, concise communications between the stakeholders when developing this new concept of operations in accordance with the presidential directive to speed up the acquisition process.
- Establish and maintain official physical and electronic records management systems in accordance with Navy and Department of War (DoW) records management and retention requirements.
- Support the Submarine Superiority Project, including submarine sensor and processing systems.
- Develop and maintain configuration management plans for submarine programs and control system baseline documentation and associated changes.
- Support Configuration Management activities, including Configuration Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, and Configuration Status Accounting.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and effective communication products for a variety of audiences.
- Develop and deliver communications using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration and communication tools.
- Monitor customer and stakeholder trends to identify strategic engagement opportunities.
- Coordinate multiple priorities and deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment with short and competing deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with government, military, industry, and other stakeholders to support program objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a DoW Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, English, communications, or a related field; equivalent or commensurate experience may be considered.
- Minimum 6 years' experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with collaborative platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, grammar, and proofreading.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional experience supporting the U.S. Navy, particularly Team Submarine or submarine-related programs.
- Experience supporting strategic engagement initiatives within the Navy, Department of War (DoW), or other U.S. Government organizations.
- Knowledge of DoW policies and NAVSEA/Team Submarine policies, processes, and procedures.
- Experience with Navy or DoW recognition and awards processes.
- Experience with records management, configuration management, or program documentation.
- Familiarity with submarine systems, undersea warfare technology, or related defense programs.
