This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI polygraph. The Strategic Communications Specialist will work independently and as part of a cross-functional team comprised of technical experts supporting an established and growing Intelligence Community (IC) mission. You will help the government with planning and reporting support for a DoD special access program (SAP). You will need to quickly understand complex technical concepts, make assessments, and articulate your recommendations to the customer. Previous experience working on-site to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC) is highly desirable. Responsibilities: - You will support the government in planning, drafting, editing, coordinating, tracking and ensuring completion of tasks on schedule for annual SAP reporting to DoD, Congress and other Government agencies. - You will be a vital member of a multi-disciplined team. You will be embedded with government and Vantor staff, filling a critical function of their organization. Our customer runs a high-speed operational tempo, and you will be looked upon to provide expertise in support of their mission. - You will provide expert advice to the customer on SAP reporting to DoD and Congress as it impacts their mission, providing polished and effective communications across their stakeholders. - You will integrate senior level correspondence, briefings, reports and papers for executive level audiences. You will create drafts for senior review. - You will plan, coordinate, review, and edit graphics and content of scientific, technical, and programmatic material. - You will perform communication strategy / management work and write SOPs to further the communication strategy of the customer. - You will research, build, and execute all aspects of the customers communication strategy. - You will write concepts of operations and operational support projects. - You will help author new procedures / methods to create innovative communication plans/ strategies. Minimum Qualifications: - Must have active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI Polygraph. - Degree in communications, business administration or similar discipline. - 5 years experience performing communications management/strategy work in the DoD / IC, and writing standard operating procedure based upon the resulting work. - Significant experience in communications strategy / management techniques. - Experience in graphic design and content management. - Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. - Expert knowledge and use of Adobe Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: - Masters degree in communications, business administration or equivalent (6 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree). - Experience working on-site at a government customer location. - Experience working in DOD/IC. - Published / authored strategy reports. - Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project/acquisitions-oriented management certification DAWIA II, CAPM, Prince2, etc. - Senior level experience engaging and communicating with general officers, field grade officers, and civilian senior executive service officers. - Experience and knowledge of Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) programs and methods. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidates experience, expertise, and alignment with the role. 6 The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $86,000.00 - $114,000.00 - $125,400.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
