The Strategic Client Sales Executive is an advanced individual contributor responsible for driving complex sales and renewal opportunities within an assigned territory or portfolio. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, leveraging deep knowledge of Alkami's solutions, sales methodology, and internal processes to manage sophisticated deals and high-value client relationships. The Strategic CSE consistently delivers quota attainment while navigating cross-functional stakeholders, legal and pricing considerations, and competitive dynamics. This level represents a seasoned sales professional who influences territory strategy, improves deal execution practices, and contributes to broader sales effectiveness initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Drive complex new sales, expansion, renewal, and Strategic Alignment Workshop (SAW) opportunities by executing a disciplined territory strategy aligned to revenue and growth targets.
• Lead end-to-end sales cycles by managing discovery, solution alignment, value articulation, proposal development, negotiation, and close activities.
• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships within client and prospect organizations to position Alkami as a strategic partner.
• Forecast pipeline and revenue accurately by applying defined sales stages, CPQ processes, and approval workflows to ensure predictable outcomes.
• Navigate pricing, contracting, legal, and risk discussions by collaborating with internal stakeholders to structure commercially sound agreements.
• Identify expansion and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by analyzing client performance, adoption trends, and strategic priorities.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, and Sales Engineering to tailor messaging and solution positioning for target segments and competitive situations.
• Mitigate deal risk by proactively identifying objections, competitive threats, and decision barriers and developing action plans to address them.
• Apply Alkami sales, renewal, and SAW processes consistently to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
• Provide informal guidance to peers by sharing deal strategies, process knowledge, and lessons learned to improve overall team performance.
• Support onboarding of new team members by allowing shadowing opportunities and answering questions related to territory management and deal execution.
• Maintain deep knowledge of assigned market segments, competitors, and industry trends to strengthen positioning and client credibility.
• Analyze territory performance metrics and adjust prospecting and engagement strategies to optimize quota attainment.
• Represent Alkami professionally in client meetings, industry events, and partner engagements to enhance brand reputation and pipeline generation.
Recommended Experience & Education
Minimum Years of Experience
5+ years of experience in enterprise or financial technology sales with demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and achieving revenue quotas in a consultative selling environment.
Education Level
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
Required
• Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue quotas
• Advanced knowledge of consultative and value-based selling methodologies
• Experience managing complex contract negotiations including pricing, legal, and risk considerations
• Strong forecasting discipline and pipeline management skills using CRM and CPQ systems
• Ability to build executive-level client relationships and influence decision-makers • Deep understanding of financial services or fintech solutions and market dynamics
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Travel may be required up to 50% depending on business needs
Preferred
• Experience selling digital banking, SaaS, or financial technology platforms
• Demonstrated success driving large expansions or high-risk renewals
• Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar sales qualification frameworks
• Experience presenting to C-level executives and board-level stakeholders
• Background working with regulated financial institutions or enterprise clients
The salary range for this position is: $120,000 - $145,000 + Commissions
