Full Job Description
MO-REMOTE Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: The ideal candidate has been in a prior strategy role and has experience with Sg2, Advisory Board and Trilliant. Job Summary: Analyzes data and trends from internal and external sources to make recommendations related to the organization’s strategic positioning, market conditions, service lines, competitor actions and volume/market share trends across the system. Provides consultation to leadership to interpret data, advises and counsels system and regional senior leaders on decisions based upon data provided. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Supports system strategy and regional leadership by completing demographic analysis, assessment of provider and service access, payer profiles and trending, supply database validation, medical staff profiling (e.g., age, specialty, utilization modeling/forecasts) and other key metrics required to support strategic planning, capital planning, provider recruitment planning, pro forma development, and the annual budget process. Monitors changes in market competition, consumer preferences, and technology trends to support strategy leaders in evaluating the organization’sfootprint and service portfolio across each region served. Assistsstrategy leaders in monitoring vendor contracts, vendor deliverables, and available tools to support strategy and business development initiatives, including third-party vendors, claims data, state data, etc. Works collaboratively withSystem Data Analytics (SDA) to create dashboards needed to monitor strategic priorities. Partners with SDA in providing strategic direction for the ongoing maintenance of internal, system-wide rosters reflecting all providers and sites of care used in Master Data Management (MDM). Supports strategy and regional leaders in conducting research and generating presentation materials needed for competitive analysis and Mergers/Acquisitions (M/A) assessments. Generates market-level and heat maps reflecting internalsites of care, competitive sites of care, market share penetration, as well as distance calculations needed to support provider recruitment and alignment initiatives. Conducts research on health care and technology trends to support clinical program planning, digital health expansion, and transformation initiatives. Compiles assessments for key stakeholders and provides recommendations based on research and data. Generates internal data reports and assessments, including monthly volume trending and lookback assessments to support near-term Net Operating Income (NOI) initiatives, business development initiatives, as well as long-term master facility planning. Prepares presentations of data for senior leadership that clearly and succinctly showcase findings and recommendations. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience or education EXPERIENCE Five years' relevant experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
