OverviewIn this Strategic Account Management IC5 role, you will focus on one of the most important health and life sciences customers in the United States portfolio, working alongside a dedicated Account Team Unit to advance their digital transformation and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence. You will have the opportunity to build deep, trust-based relationships with senior executives, connect Microsoft's innovation to complex healthcare challenges, and orchestrate a multi-year customer strategy that aligns technology investments with business and clinical priorities.
You will lead the development and application of a long-term customer account plan grounded in a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, Providence's business model, and their priorities across patient care transformation, operational efficiency, data and artificial intelligence innovation, security, and cloud modernization. Partnering closely with specialists, customer success, services, and partner teams, you will orchestrate the full Microsoft ecosystem to design and deliver high-impact solutions, remove blockers, and ensure that every engagement is aligned to measurable outcomes and customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of a multi-year strategic account plan for Providence, based on proven methodologies, to build a sustainable, long-term business portfolio and drive high-volume, high-impact opportunities aligned to goals, budgets, and forecasts.Orchestrate and mobilize a diverse, account-aligned virtual team across sales, customer success, services, partners, and technical roles to deliver an integrated customer experience, ensure execution of the account plan, and drive accountability for outcomes.Deepen executive-level relationships by engaging senior leaders and decision makers across Providence, proactively delivering industry and business insights, and positioning Microsoft as a trusted advisor on digital transformation and artificial intelligence-enabled innovation.Anticipate customer needs and satisfaction risks, identify root causes, remove blockers, and execute recovery and improvement plans that enhance overall experience, strengthen loyalty, and expand Microsoft's strategic footprint in the account.Create and qualify new strategic opportunities by leveraging industry expertise and partner ecosystems, designing compelling value propositions and business cases that connect Microsoft's cloud, data, security, and artificial intelligence solutions to Providence's strategic objectives.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR Master's Degree AND 9+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR 13+ years experience in working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives.
- 8+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals.

Strategic Account Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.
