University Medical Partners (UMP), a partner of Stanford Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a close-knit team of Medical Oncologists and PA/NP in Pleasanton, CA.

Stanford Cancer Center in Pleasanton is a community-based member of the Stanford Network Cancer Centers, offering advanced diagnosis and treatment for both malignant and benign hematologic conditions. Our facility features an on-site infusion room and provides leading-edge oncology care in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

We are committed to delivering seamless, compassionate care through a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals. Patients have access to a wide range of services, including on-site Radiation Oncology and specialized care in Palliative Medicine, Breast Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, and Gynecologic Oncology. In addition, our patients have access to supportive programs such as an Integrative Oncology Program, Rehabilitation Services, Lymphedema Therapy, and Nutrition Counseling designed to enhance overall well-being throughout the treatment journey.

Position Details:

  • Support a team of Medical Oncologists and work with PA/NP colleagues in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Responsible for follow-ups for patients undergoing active therapy, on active surveillance, or hematology
  • Supervise the infusion room and collaborate with RNs to manage side effects of treatments administered
  • Perform cancer therapy education visits with the patient and family
  • Order and interpret lab and radiology studies as medically necessary and assist with triage of urgent patient needs
  • Primarily clinic-based: Patient care, infusion center supervision, care coordination, and inbox management
  • Opportunities for development beyond routine clinical care include collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine Faculty
  • Participation in clinical trials, Integrative oncology, Survivorship, and Cancer prevention
  • Work in a collaborative and supportive environment with an opportunity for mentorship
  • Work schedule: Full-time (4 - 10-hour days per week); No weekends and no call
  • Hospital rounding at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital


Qualifications:

  • Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Outstanding clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting

    • Familiarity working with Epic EMR
    • Experience working in a multi-specialty group and/or integrated healthcare system
