Job Summary

Insulet has the mission to simplify life for people living with diabetes. We are seeking a Staff User Experience (UX) Researcher to join our growing Innovation & Strategy organization. This role will conduct global research to deeply understand the needs, behaviors, and experiences of People Living With Diabetes (PWDs) and Health Care Providers (HCPs).

Staff User Experience (UX) Researcher

The Staff UX Researcher will lead research initiatives in close collaboration with cross functional UX partners supporting Insulet’s digital and service-based customer experiences (DSCX). This individual will identify new opportunity areas, inform product and service strategy, and elevate the quality and impact of digital experiences. The ideal candidate is a strategic and curious researcher with strong qualitative and quantitative expertise, capable of translating insights into meaningful business and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the global DSCX UX research roadmap, including digital user flows, websites, web portals, and customer care experiences, in collaboration with UX leadership and cross-functional partners (IT, Product, Marketing, and others)

  • Maintain ongoing visibility into active and upcoming research initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams on a weekly basis

  • Design and execute complex qualitative and quantitative research studies using rigorous, best practice methodologies

  • Serve as a thought partner and mentor to the other three researchers on the team, providing strategic and executional guidance

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships across a matrixed organization

  • Strategic thinker who can operate at both high-level and detailed execution levels, with a strong bias toward action

  • Independently lead multiple concurrent research initiatives while partnering closely with UX leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Own the end-to-end UX research process, including study planning, stakeholder alignment, execution, synthesis, and communication of findings

  • Partner closely with legal and data privacy teams to ensure all research activities are compliant with regulatory and privacy standards

  • Deliver clear, compelling research reports and presentations with strong storytelling and data visualization

  • Communicate proactively and effectively with the Senior User Research Manager, peers, and partners

  • Mentor partner researchers throughout the execution phases of the research lifecycle

  • Evangelize user insights to influence strategy, design decisions, and customer-centered outcomes

  • Continuously identify opportunities to evolve and improve research practices, tools, and processes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a related field

  • 7+ years of professional UX research experience supporting physical, digital, web, and/or service-based products

  • Familiarity with IT systems and experience in medical, healthcare, and/or diabetes-related domains

  • Strong experience conducting primary research using both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing, tools such as Qualtrics)

  • Proficiency using design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, AI) to support research planning and synthesis

  • Demonstrated ability to drive data-informed design and business decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity working with partners from call center analytics, digital web analytics, salesforce lightning, data science.

  • Experience working in regulated medical or healthcare environments, specifically insulin delivery systems.

  • Comfort collaborating across time zones, including teams based in the U.S. and Europe.

  • Experience conducting international research and supporting global initiatives

Additional Information:

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $142,400.00 - $213,575.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
