As a Staff Systems Architect, you will play a critical role in defining memory and storage solutions that power next-generation automotive, industrial, and consumer systems. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and external partners to translate real application needs into differentiated products and long-term strategies, with a strong focus on AI inference at the edge.
Responsibilities:- Define memory and storage requirements for embedded systems with a 3-5 year technology horizon
- Analyze system, compute, and software architectures to guide product strategy and roadmap decisions
- Develop system models and experiments to evaluate AI inference workloads and performance tradeoffs
- Drive technical engagements with key customers, partners, and chipset vendors
- Evangelize Micron technologies through customer interactions and industry forums
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in system architecture, product definition, or related technical roles
- Strong understanding of embedded system architectures, SoCs, and memory or storage usage
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical influencing skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical field
- Experience with automotive, autonomous driving, robotics, or advanced embedded platforms
- Knowledge of memory and storage technologies such as DDR, LPDDR, NAND, eMMC, UFS, or SSDs
- Experience evaluating hardware performance for AI inference workloads
- Familiarity with AI/ML architectures, accelerators, and supporting software stacks
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$135,000.00 - $286,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
