Join the Data, Growth and Experiences (DGX) team as a Staff Software Quality Analyst focused on data connectivity in TurboTax. The Staff Software Quality Analyst owns the quality vision and strategy for the tax data import domain, serving as the technical quality leader across our tax data partners, the IDX platform, and product and development teams. The role demands a blend of product knowledge, test strategy depth, and banking/payroll industry understanding. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Staff SQA translates ambiguous, cross-system problems into durable quality solutions - defining the quality bar for tax season readiness, instrumenting the signals that prove it, and coaching the broader team to raise it. This includes establishing quality best practices beyond their own team, championing AI/GenAI approaches to quality and productivity, and maintaining an operational feedback loop that ensures high-quality and high-performance done-for-you tax experiences for Intuit's customers.
Responsibilities
Lead the quality design of complex, multi-partner integrations - balancing tradeoffs and foreseeing long-term implications for maintainability, coverage, and test data management.
Orchestrate partner compliance for tax season readiness: sequence testing dependencies across partners and platform teams, communicate clear estimates, and identify and mitigate quality risks before they reach customers.
Establish and champion quality best practices within and beyond the team, driving operational excellence across the tax import domain.
Proactively identify opportunities to apply AI/GenAI to quality - test generation, coverage analysis, log triage, anomaly detection, and evaluation of AI-based product features - and champion adoption of what proves out.
Connect customer feedback, production telemetry, and partner performance signals to surface latent quality issues, and participate in research to understand where the import experience breaks down.
Design quality self-serve solutions that apply beyond a single use case, using partner research to establish common, future-proof approaches others will reuse.
Contribute to technical documentation, quality playbooks, and knowledge base articles that expand self-serve capability for internal teams and partners.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong familiarity with US taxpayer forms, including W-2, 1099 investment, retirement and self employment income, and 1098 mortgage deductions.
Proven ability to design and execute test strategy for complex capabilities including API integrations and customer experience flows.
Experience navigating Tableau, Splunk, SQL (querying) etc. for test result analysis, log-based troubleshooting, and quality dashboarding.
Working knowledge of test data management practices for sensitive financial and PII data.
Practical experience applying AI/GenAI tooling to quality work, including evaluation of AI-based features.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and relevant authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC).
Fluency in payroll management and systems.
Fluency in data standards for financial services and payroll (OFX, FDX, EFW2).
Experience defining quality strategy for a platform or partner ecosystem rather than a single application.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in software quality engineering or analysis, including experience owning quality for complex integrations or platform services in the fintech industry.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
