About the Role:

SK Hynix Memory Solutions is a leading worldwide provider of NVMe storage solutions for enterprise and hyper-scale applications.We are looking for a highly motivated Staff or Sr Staff engineer who will be responsible for developing tests and test methodologies for validation of enterprise NVMe SSDs and its features. The engineer will also be responsible for the execution of the test suites, its initial failure analysis, and work with development and functional teams for issue resolution.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop test plans for specific device/system under test based on NVMe/OCP specifications, PRD and Customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain test setups and validation platforms for System Quality Assurance testing.
  • Develop scripts and automate test cases, manage test suites, and automated regressions.
  • Execute test cases as per test plans, and report results.
  • File defects based on automated and manual testing, track bugs and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors for test suite updates, test development requests, test platform support/troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Ensure quality of products being developed and delivered to the customers.
  • Continuously learning and being aware of new features or functional changes from latest NVMe, OCP, PCIe, and industry or customer requirements.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of work experience in the data storage industry (enterprise SSD/NVMe experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with fundamental NVMe concepts such as Admin and IO commands, Log Pages, Power loss protection, Controller Level Resets, and Out-of-Band interface.
  • Familiarity with storage test methodologies for NVMe, OCP, and PCIe requirements.
  • Experience working with enterprise servers in Linux, ESXi, and Windows Server OS environments.
  • Proficient with developing automating test scripts (Preferred languages: Python, C/C++, Bash).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NVMe SSDs and NVMe controllers.
  • Experience in feature and functional verification of NVMe storage in different platforms and various File Systems.
  • Experience utilizing 3rd party NVMe test tools are highly desired.
  • Experience working with 3rd party NVMe test platforms and Protocol analysis tools such as Oakgate, SANBlaze, ULink, Teledyne LeCroy, SerialTek, TotalPhase, etc.
  • Experience with Enterprise grade Servers, and various Operating Systems are highly desired.
  • Experience in SSD Storage products' testing is highly preferred, with understanding of PCIe/NVMe/OCP Protocols and specifications.
  • Experience working on Projects related to Solid State Drives in various OS environment (either Client / Server-Enterprise).
  • Know how on usage pf AI tools and leveraging AI for improving work efficiency.


Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor of Science in CS, EE, ME, or other applicable Engineering field.
