  • 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.


About the job

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

The AI Data Generation team charter is generating GenAI data and evaluations for Google. Our team has been instrumental in performing Large Language Model (LLM)/GenAI model evaluations and model fine-tuning (e.g., using RLHF techniques).

DataGen is our evolving self-service data generation platform that enables a typical AI product developer to produce verifiable high-quality data-sets through automation of workflows, with integrations into pre-training, post-training and evaluations infrastructure.

The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud's mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community. We also collaborate with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our customers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $301000 (USD) 20% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and launch tools/solutions to collect, verify and deliver data/evaluations for a variety of GenAI use cases, including evaluation and improvement of Generative AI models and launches.
  • Learn novel GenAI use cases to learn their data needs and identifying solutions leveraging the AI Data Platform.
  • Work cross-functionally with Data Science, Product, User Experience/User Experience Research (UX/UXR) and Operations teams.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
