Currently, the Staff Engineer will work on the team that will be leading modernization of legacy apps with integrated AI workflows. As a Staff Engineer, you will be directly developing Specialty Pharmacy Initiatives. You will lead ambient projects that address our customer challenges. You will be heavily involved in contributing to modernizing legacy applications and maintain current apps. You will have an opportunity to provide strategic leadership for the software development of our application products that leverage advance technologies.
As a Staff Engineer, you will be mentoring/guiding team members, helping drive development decisions, and assisting with architecture design decisions. In this role, you will demonstrate executive level qualities, lead the conversation, have an eye for great design, Hands-on coding as required and a knack for pushing projects from conception to customers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 7+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of backend technology experience including Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Go, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cassandra
- 5+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and delivering scalable microservices-based applications
- 5+ years partnering with architecture, product, and program management teams to influence product development decisions
- 5+ years of experience working on a project using mature CI/CD practices, source control such as git, and automated testing framework - like JBehave, Cucumber etc
- 5+ years of experience working on Agile teams
- 4+ years of working with large public cloud technologies i.e. GCP(preferred), AWS, Azure
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION- Hands on expertise in setting up Cloud Infrastructure - GKE, Compute Engine, VPC Networks, Cloud Run, Load Balancers (Internal & External), Google Edge etc
- Hands on expertise in setting up end to end observability framework
- Proficient understanding of different infrastructure architecture designs
- Experience partnering with product and engineering leaders to deliver high quality technology solutions
- Aware of modern emerging technologies
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices using tools for version control, CI/CD, testing and deployment
- Experience developing scalable engineering solutions for cross-team concerns like UI state management, data fetching, build tooling, performance, client observability, analytics, and other architectural challenges
EDUCATIONBachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
