The Ads team, part of HubSpot's Build Awareness product line, owns how businesses create, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across major ad platforms directly from HubSpot. Ads is a critical lever for marketers who need to turn budget into pipeline - connecting paid media investment to contacts, deals, and revenue in a way no standalone ad tool can. In this role, you'll define the strategy for how HubSpot helps growing businesses get more from every dollar they spend on paid media.

The advertising landscape is shifting fast. Privacy regulations and signal loss are degrading the targeting and measurement models marketers have relied on for years. Ad platforms are making AI-driven automation the default - not an optional layer - shifting the marketer's edge from manual campaign management to better data inputs and creative strategy. And SMBs are competing for the same ad inventory as enterprises with a fraction of the budget and resources. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager who can help define HubSpot's ads strategy in this new reality - connecting paid media to the CRM in ways that give growing businesses an unfair advantage over point-solution alternatives.
In this role you'll get to:
  • Own the product vision and multi-quarter strategy for HubSpot's Ads experience, tying paid media capabilities to customer acquisition outcomes and platform-level business goals
  • Define and drive a cohesive roadmap as a critical member of the Product Triad - our system for building product collaboratively and strategically across product, engineering, and design
  • Partner with AI teams to bring intelligent campaign creation, audience optimization, and automated budget allocation into the ads workflow
  • Navigate a complex, fast-moving ecosystem of ad platform APIs, privacy regulations, and measurement frameworks across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging channels
  • Shape HubSpot's differentiated positioning at the intersection of ads and CRM - helping marketers connect spend to revenue in ways standalone ad tools cannot
  • Use data to guide strategy and decision-making, including defining success metrics, evaluating tradeoffs, and building conviction where signal is imperfect or delayed
  • Influence product direction beyond your immediate team, contributing to Build Awareness and platform-level strategy as a senior IC leader in the product org
  • Guide new product ideas from initial concept through launch, setting a high bar for execution and customer impact
We are looking for people who have:
  • Significant experience launching and scaling customer-facing products, ideally in advertising technology, paid media tools, or performance marketing platforms
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems - campaign management, audience targeting, attribution, and the interplay between ad platforms and first-party data
  • A track record of defining and driving product strategy at a senior level, with the ability to connect near-term execution to long-term vision
  • Comfort operating in highly ambiguous, technically complex, and regulation-sensitive problem spaces and turning uncertainty into clear direction
  • A data-oriented approach to product management, using metrics, experimentation, and tradeoff analysis to inform strategy - especially in domains where measurement is inherently noisy
  • Technical fluency and systems thinking, with the ability to reason about platform integrations, data pipelines, and API constraints
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience influencing outcomes through collaboration and persuasion rather than direct authority
  • The ability to clearly articulate product strategy and tradeoffs to engineering partners, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience operating effectively in complex product ecosystems where success depends on coordination across multiple teams and surfaces
  • Please note, East Coast or Central Time Zones are preferred
Bonus experience:
  • Hands-on experience with ad platform APIs (Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, chatGPT) and the technical constraints of building on partner ecosystems
  • Background in CRM, martech, or B2B SaaS platforms - particularly products that connect marketing spend to downstream revenue
  • Experience with privacy-first advertising approaches, including server-side tracking, conversion APIs, or privacy-preserving measurement
  • Exposure to AI/ML-powered product experiences, particularly in campaign optimization, audience modeling, or automated creative generation
  • Experience building products for SMBs
As a member of the Product Management org at HubSpot you'll:
  • Join a product-led culture that truly puts the customer first
  • Create and advance an ambitious product strategy in evolving and ambiguous spaces, grounded in customer needs, business goals, and data
  • Partner closely with colleagues in UX and Engineering to create a high-value product that's both powerful and easy to use
  • Influence direction and decisions through strong product judgment, clear thinking, and collaboration
  • Know what will lead to getting promoted, and why, thanks to clear expectations and robust career paths
  • Be empowered to show up as your authentic self and choose a work style and location where you can do your best work, whether that's at home, in an office, or a blend of the two
