Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Logistics Lead to support Shield AI's X-BAT program within the Aircraft Division. This role will lead the logistics planning, supply support, sustainment analysis, and lifecycle support activities across development, flight test, production, and operational sustainment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting military or defense aviation programs and understands how logistics products, supportability analysis, maintenance planning, and supply chain execution contribute to mission availability and operational readiness. This position requires hands-on experience with Maintenance Task Analysis, Logistics Control Numbers, Reliability and Maintainability artifacts, and Supply Support planning and execution.

What you'll do:

  • Lead logistics and sustainment planning activities for a UAS program across design, production, deployment, and field support phases.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain integrated logistics support products, including maintenance concepts, support equipment design, provisioning inputs, spares planning, and sustainment documentation.
  • Perform and manage Maintenance Task Analysis to define preventive and corrective maintenance requirements, task frequencies, required tools, support equipment, skill levels, labor hours, and maintenance levels.
  • Develop and maintain Logistics Control Number structures to support provisioning, maintenance planning, technical documentation, configuration tracking, and sustainment data management.
  • Partner with engineering, program management, manufacturing, supply chain, field operations, and customer stakeholders to ensure logistics requirements are incorporated into system design and program execution.
  • Support Reliability and Maintainability activities, including Level of Repair Analysis, FMECA data analysis, maintainability assessments, corrective action planning, reliability growth inputs, and operational availability improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supply support activities, including spares analysis, provisioning, parts forecasting, inventory planning, reorder recommendations, repair pipeline coordination, sustainment risk identification, and obsolescence management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, depots, repair vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely availability of parts, support equipment, and logistics resources.
  • Support proposal development, basis of estimate inputs, staffing plans, sustainment strategies, and logistics cost estimates for new and existing UAS programs.
  • Ensure logistics activities comply with applicable defense standards, contract requirements, export control requirements, and company processes.


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering, supply chain, aviation maintenance, business, or a related field; equivalent military or defense logistics experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting UAS or fighter aircraft logistics and sustainment
  • Demonstrated experience with Maintenance Task Analysis and development of maintenance planning data.
  • Expertise of Logistics Control Number structures and their use in provisioning, maintenance planning, and supportability analysis.
  • Experience with Reliability and Maintainability principles, including failure modes, maintainability drivers, reliability growth, availability metrics, and field performance analysis, and LORA development
  • Hands-on supply support experience, including spares planning, provisioning, inventory management, parts forecasting, repairables management, and sustainment execution.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, configuration data, maintenance data, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, program management, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, field service, and customer teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to lead logistics efforts in a fast-paced program environment.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven experience with integrated product support elements, including product support management, supply support, support equipment, manpower and personnel, facilities, maintenance planning,
  • Experience with provisioning, sparing, or supportability tools such as PowerLOG-J, SLICwave, COMPASS, CASA, OPUS10, EAGLE, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1388 legacy logistics concepts, GEIA-STD-0007, SAE TA-STD-0017, MIL-HDBK-502A, or related product support standards.
  • Experience developing logistics inputs for CDRLs, technical manuals, maintenance plans, provisioning data, sparing recommendations, or lifecycle sustainment plans.
  • Experience with ERP, PLM, or MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Costpoint, Teamcenter, Arena, Windchill, or similar platforms.
  • Active or current security clearance.
