Full Job Description
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is someone with a high degree of passion for building high-quality, scalable storefront experiences and a strong understanding of how modern web systems work end-to-end. They're a self-starter, problem-solver, and adept at combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. The candidate is energized by solving complex technical and business problems, and consistently effective in making high-judgment decisions at a rapid pace amidst ambiguity. They lead by influence, raise the bar for the engineers around them, and thrive in an environment where candour, speed, and data are highly valued.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for major Storefront initiatives - spanning discovery, browse, PDP, cart, checkout, and post-purchase surfaces - from architecture through production.
  • Partner closely with product, design, and data science to shape roadmap priorities and translate business goals into scalable, well-scoped engineering plans.
  • Drive technical standards and consistency across the Storefront codebase in areas including performance, observability, testing, and maintainability.
  • Proactively identify and resolve systemic engineering gaps - performance bottlenecks, reliability risks, and scaling constraints - before they become incidents.
  • Mentor and grow senior engineers through design reviews, code review, pairing, and direct coaching; actively invest in the technical development of the team.
  • Define and drive adoption of best practices across frontend architecture, API design, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure the Storefront stack is built on reliable, well-instrumented foundations.
  • Drive alignment with engineering leadership and cross-functional counterparts on technical direction, tradeoffs, and delivery milestones.
