You will be working on a team that is building a cloud-based development environment. You will work with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of hardware, software engineers and security specialists to design and implement a secure cloud-based software development and maintenance environment. You will be part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company. Staff Cloud Engineer - Cloud PlatformsPosition Requirements:- U.S. Citizenship (No exceptions; green card holders are not eligible)
- Current DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
- BS or higher in computer science, IT, engineering, applied mathematics, or a closely related field.
- 2+ years relevant work experience with BS
- Successfully acquire and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
- Successfully obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.) within 60 days of hire
- Good oral & written communication skills
- Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance
- Willing to work on-site, daily, at our Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX location

- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms
- Proficiency in programming languages like: C++, Java, Go or Python
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like: Kubernetes, Helm, Amazon ECS/EKS or OpenShift
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as: Jenkins, GitLab or Argo
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack)
- Basic knowledge of monitoring tools similar to: AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Prometheus or Grafana
