Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will assist Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Office to successfully accomplish test execution projects associated with munitions, legacy training aircraft, and weapon systems. Additionally, this role will support technical and programmatic functions within R&M, ensuring assigned test programs and test project tasks are technically sound with appropriate technical risk mitigation, meet or exceed performance and safety standards and assist Program Offices in staying on-time and on-cost while reducing technical risk. Working closely with government, this position will utilize research, critical thinking, creativity, and good judgement to evaluate and inform recommendations, while keeping USAF Test Leadership advised of significant actions or challenges

Minimum Qualifications:
R2 Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or test program
• 2 years of formal Test Program Experience
• Active US Security Clearance
• Proven track record of working directly with or advising USAF Program Offices in testing related efforts.
• Ability to work independently and with peers/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to plan, track, and analyze test projects
• Familiarity with USAF multiple airframes (A-10, F-16, F-22)
• 1 year experience analyzing and interpreting Test and Evaluation guidance, informing test application and management
• Demonstrated experience tracking schedule, managing risks and mitigation techniques, and monitoring safety of tests
• Effective written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite - namely Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Attention to detail.
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.

R3 Qualifications (including all R2 qualifications):
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an engineer or in test program
• Minimum 6 years of formal test program experience

Preferred Qualifications:
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• MS in technical or management field
• Possess formal Test Credentials (foundational or practitioner) from DAU (WarU) or equivalent
• Graduate of Edwards Test Pilot School (Pilot or Flight Test Engineer)
• Demonstrated experience with multiple AF airframes (prefer A-10, F-16, F-22, Munitions).
• Self motivated & organized with ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi disciplinary team
• Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
• Demonstrated customer focus and record of customer satisfaction
• Ability to create and maintain focus out of ambiguity
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
