Water/Wastewater Senior Project Engineer - Lehi, UT

You'll work on impactful water and wastewater treatment, pumping, conveyance, and infrastructure projects that improve communities while collaborating with project managers, technical specialists, and industry experts across AE2S.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, evaluation, and design of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and oversee engineering reports, technical memorandums, specifications, contract documents, cost estimates, permit applications, and construction plans
  • Serve as a project engineer or technical lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with project managers to support scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning while maintaining a strong technical leadership role on projects
  • Build relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders while contributing to proposals, interviews, and business development efforts
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, sharing knowledge and helping elevate team performance across the organization

Qualifications

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • 10 or more years of experience with treatment facilities, pumping systems, conveyance infrastructure, and related utility systems
  • Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgment and aptitude among peers, management, and staff

Physical Qualifications
  • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
