The role:This role supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company's subsidiary and other financial areas, contributing to the monthly close process and ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys transactional accounting, maintaining clean books, following processes, and developing a strong understanding of local accounting operations. The position reports directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and record routine journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation.
- Support the monthly close process for, meeting all reporting deadlines
- Perform monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare standard financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Support internal controls by ensuring completeness and accuracy of transactions.
- Assist during external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Contribute to system and process improvements, including ERP-related initiatives, as needed.
- Collaborate with other teams (e.g. operations, finance or supply chain) to ensure proper recording of costs and expenses.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:- 2-4 years of experience in accounting or audit roles.
- Degree in Accounting or related field.
- US GAAP knowledge required.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes and month-end close.
- Good communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow established processes.
- Ability to manage routine tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience managing accounting and reporting for multi-currency entities.

CompensationAll final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Pay Range for this position
$80,000-$105,000 CAD
