Position Overview: The Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations. This role will provide critical analyses on financial performance insights to management, while also identifying areas for process improvements within payroll and financial systems.

Your Day to Day as an Accountant: - Support the maintenance of financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare and review journal entries for month-end close.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Analyze capital spending reports and perform ROI calculations.
- Assist with identifying payroll process improvements.
- Prepare timely financial reports, ad-hoc analyses, and insights for management.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency through account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and fulfills internal/external audit requests.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
- Assist with quarterly forecasting.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects across multiple systems.
Required Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational & analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
- Ability to report to work onsite at BWXT's Barberton office location.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:- 5-10 years' experience in accounting and finance.
- Master's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with multi-site accounting operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their implementation.
- Experience in SAP and OneStream.

Pay: $66,000 - $101,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $66,000 and $101,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
