POSITION SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for the overall administration, management and development of the Marketing Department and its Staff. Proving Marketing support to both Silver Reef Casino Resort and the Lummi Commercial Company.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)
  • Minimum bachelor's degree from a four-year college*
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in gaming or related field. *
  • 5 years of management experience is required
  • Excellent (English) written and verbal communications, organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated skills and experience providing exemplary Guest Service
  • Extensive experience and skills in mathematics, budgeting and financial report analysis
  • Leadership skills necessary to mentor, guide and develop subordinate managers, supervisors and line employees
  • Ability to interpret extensive technical data to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Effective knowledge of a broad range of computerized systems used in Accounting, Gaming and Hospitality
  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience with Player Tracking Systems, direct mail & tour group sales
  • Thorough and diverse knowledge of local advertising vehicles
  • Thorough knowledge of Silver Reef Casino Policy Manual, system of Internal Controls and all applicable Federal, State and Tribal laws and regulations
  • Must be able and willing to work beyond standard work week, including long hours, evenings and weekends, as well as travel for business purposes whenever necessary.
  • Able to always display a professional appearance and positive attitude

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensures the maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained
  • With the approval of the General Manager, creates and executes effective operational strategies for areas assigned to position and ensures accuracy of all paperwork in accordance with all policies
  • Directs and implements the organizations advertising and promotional activities.
  • Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
  • Identifies new market segments that will benefit from company products.
  • Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
  • Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversee the department's operating budget.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, rewards, promotes, coaches, disciplines and terminates employees according to company policies and applicable regulations and laws
  • Ensure compliance by all staff members with all procedures, policies, regulations and applicable laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality and chain of command
  • Maintain knowledge, evaluate new products and maintain effective relationships with vendors.
  • Represent the property in the best possible light to various community organizations, local leaders and vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Constantly watching, speaking, hearing, sitting, standing, and walking
  • Frequently reading, writing, typing, reaching, bending, stooping, using hands to finger, handle objects, tools or control
