OverviewTheSr. Training Managerisresponsible fordefining and driving the training strategy for the company27s self-performcraftand professionalworkforce. This role focuses on building scalable, field-ready programs that improve safety, productivity, quality, andretention.
This leader partners closely withthe field operationsteamto align training with jobsite needs and workforce planning, while overseeing execution through the Sr. Field Training Specialist, who delivers training in the field.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Workforce Development
- Develop and lead the Next 150 training and workforce development strategy for craft employees (union and non-union where applicable)
- Align training initiatives with business priorities, including safety performance, productivity, and project execution
- Build structured workforce development models to support skill progression from entry-level to foreperson/superintendent roles
Program Design & Standardization
- Design scalable, easy-to-administer training programs (onboarding, skills development, leadership for craft)
- Standardize training expectations and delivery across projects, regions, and business units
- Integrate training into the full workforce lifecycle (hire 12; onboard 12; deploy 12; develop)
- Ensure alignment with safety, compliance, and any applicable union or regulatory requirements
Field Execution Oversight
- Lead and provide direction to the Sr. Field Training Specialist responsible for jobsite execution
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans for field delivery
- Ensure consistent and practical application of training in real jobsite conditions
- Serve as escalation point for training gaps, field challenges, and adoption issues
Operations & HR Partnership
- Partner with Operations leaders (PXs, Superintendents, Forepersons) to align training with project needs
- Collaborate with HRteamon workforce planning, onboarding, and employee relations considerations
- Support integration of training into onboarding and redeployment processes across projects
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track key metrics (e.g., safety outcomes, productivity, turnover,rookieretention, training completion)
- Use field feedback and data to continuously adjust programs
- Provide regular, concise updates to leadership on program effectiveness and workforce capability
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in trainingandworkforce development, within construction or a self-perform environment, highly preferred
- Strong understanding of craft workforce dynamics, jobsite operations, and safety requirements
- Experience designing scalable programs for field-based employees
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operational leaders and influence at multiple levels
- Experience leading or supporting field-based training resources
- Familiarity with union environments and multi-state operations preferred

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
This ranges from $130,000.00 -$190,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
