Sr. Tooling Engineer, Seats
Salary: $114,500 - $174,000 - Based on experience/education
Direct Hire - Warsaw, IN
Relocation: $10,000
Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Tooling Engineer, Seats to support new product launches, pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities for automotive seating programs. This role will focus on tooling design, procurement, launch readiness, and continuous improvement across seat manufacturing, trim, and interior assembly processes.
Responsibilities
  • Support tooling strategy for new product launches, pilot builds, and production ramp-ups.
  • Design, develop, and launch tooling for seat manufacturing, trim, and interior assembly.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and suppliers to deliver tooling on time and within requirements.
  • Lead tooling procurement activities, including supplier coordination, technical reviews, and launch support.
  • Identify process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues during build events and production launch.
  • Support safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals across seating programs.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of automotive manufacturing, tooling engineering, or related experience.
  • Advanced degree may be considered in place of some experience.
