Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Institute of Technology or University in metallurgical, mineral processing or chemical sciences, or certified with ASTTBC in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of physical, chemical, and metallurgical processes.
• Experience in designing, constructing, operating, troubleshooting, and modifying laboratory, pilot, and plant-scale equipment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical group setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
• Familiarity with Trail's process data systems or metallurgical modelling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct laboratory, pilot-scale, and plant-based testing for process improvements.
• Analyze process and lab data, preparing reports and recommendations.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of processes.
• Operate and maintain testing and process equipment, troubleshooting as needed.
• Assist in feasibility studies and equipment evaluations.
• Coordinate and support plant trials and technical investigations.
