Senior Technical Project ManagerPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex, high-visibility, data-heavy initiatives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. This is a hands-on delivery leadership role, not a coordinator or administrative PM position. The successful candidate will drive execution across multiple workstreams, bring structure to ambiguity, and ensure delivery against strict, non-negotiable timelines.
This role requires someone who can operate independently, engage deeply with technical and product discussions, and confidently represent workstreams to leadership. You will be expected to understand the product and technical landscape well enough to drive clarity, accountability, and execution without relying on constant direction.
Key Responsibilities- Drive end-to-end execution across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve issues before they impact delivery timelines
- Coordinate across developers, product teams, leadership, and key stakeholders
- Maintain and continuously manage project plans, risks, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables
- Communicate clear, concise, and actionable status updates to leadership (tactical and strategic)
- Facilitate meetings and working sessions, ensuring clear outcomes, accountability, and follow-through
- Ensure alignment across teams on scope, priorities, and delivery expectations
- Understand product functionality, roadmap, and technical discussions to independently represent the workstream
- Track and drive resolution of blockers, dependencies, and cross-team issues
- Balance competing priorities and ensure focus remains on critical delivery objectives
- Maintain strong execution discipline in high-pressure, fast-moving environments
Required Qualifications- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Program Manager
- Strong background delivering complex, data-heavy or system-intensive initiatives
- Experience working directly with software development teams in execution-focused roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- High ownership mindset with strong accountability for delivery outcomes
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and project execution practices
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination
Technical / Functional Knowledge- Solid understanding of software development processes and delivery lifecycles
- Familiarity with data-centric applications, platforms, and workflows
- Ability to participate in and understand technical discussions, bugs, and defects
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and similar PM platforms
Preferred Qualifications- Government project experience
- Financial services or payments industry experience
- Experience supporting large-scale, data-driven platforms or enterprise systems
Work Environment & Expectations- High-visibility programs with strict, non-negotiable delivery timelines
- Fast-paced environment with significant stakeholder pressure
- Ability to manage heavy workloads and tight deadlines is required
- Limited onboarding support; ability to ramp quickly is essential
- May require extended hours during critical delivery phases
