Full Job Description
Position Overview:

At Alteryx, we put data and AI to work for the intelligent enterprise. Alteryx One connects data, governed business logic, and AI-driven insights and actions in a scalable platform.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives across Information Security, partnering heavily with Engineering, Legal, Product and IT.

This role will coordinate execution across the Information Security portfolio by maintaining integrated program plans and operating cadences, tracking dependencies and commitments, surfacing risks and decisions, and providing leaders with clear visibility into progress. The portfolio includes initiatives spanning identity and access management, vulnerability management, infrastructure and product security, data protection, compliance, incident readiness, and secure software delivery.

Success in this role requires strong technical fluency and disciplined execution. You will bring structure to ambiguous challenges, build alignment across organizational boundaries, and exercise sound judgment to strengthen trust, governance, and security throughout Alteryx's products and systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain integrated program plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, decision points, ownership assignments, and success measures across the Information Security portfolio.
  • Coordinate complex initiatives spanning identity and access management, vulnerability management, infrastructure hardening, compliance and assurance, data protection, incident readiness, and secure software delivery.
  • Partner with accountable leaders across Information Security, IT, Infrastructure, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Privacy to maintain alignment and support effective execution.
  • Establish and manage operating cadences, including program reviews, working sessions, dependency reviews, decision tracking, and executive status reporting.
  • Track commitments, risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers; ensure they are assigned to the appropriate owner and escalated with clear context, impact, and decision requirements.
  • Translate business, technical, security, and regulatory objectives into coordinated execution plans without displacing the accountability of functional or program owners.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decisions and trade-off discussions across scope, schedule, quality, resources, security, and customer impact. Document outcomes and ensure follow-through.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and concise reporting that provide working teams and senior leaders with visibility into progress, risk movement, delivery confidence, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Strengthen organizational memory by maintaining reliable records of decisions, actions, dependencies, ownership, and program status.
  • Improve program execution through scalable processes, automation, AI-enabled workflows, and continuous improvement practices.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven success independently leading complex security, privacy, risk, compliance, or enterprise IT programs from strategy through delivery.
  • Expertise establishing program governance and operating mechanisms, including portfolio planning, OKRs, dependency and risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to drive alignment for technical teams, cross-functional partners, and senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using complex data and dashboards to guide prioritization, trade-offs, and program decisions.
  • Experience leveraging AI to improve engineering planning, execution, communication, and operational efficiency.

Valued Skills:
  • Enterprise SaaS, AI platform, analytics platform, or cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Experience applying automation or AI solutions to improve planning, execution, reporting, communication, or operational efficiency; relevant program management, security, cloud, or agile certifications are a plus.
  • PMP, SAFe, Scrum, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
