Full Job Description
About the team and the role:

eBay Live is one of eBay's top strategic priorities, focused on building and scaling a new, interactive shopping experience for customers around the world. Operating in a zero-to-one environment, this team is helping define the future of live commerce at eBay by bringing together product innovation, technical execution, and operational rigor to deliver engaging experiences at global scale.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs across the eBay Live platform and help turn strategy into reliable execution. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Data Science, Operations, and business stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and drive high-quality launches. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong technical judgment, structured program leadership, and the ability to create clarity in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while helping raise the bar for execution across the organization.

What you will accomplish:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of critical eBay Live programs from concept through launch, aligning scope, timelines, resources, and outcomes across Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, Analytics, Marketing, Trust, and business teams.
  • Own annual, quarterly, and release planning across multiple domains by building governance mechanisms, evaluating cross-functional demand, and creating integrated, capacity-aware roadmaps tied to the highest-impact customer and business priorities.
  • Drive reliable execution for strategic initiatives by identifying dependencies early, building integrated program plans, securing partner commitments, and facilitating prioritization and sequencing decisions across multiple teams.
  • Build and maintain executive-ready program visibility through dashboards, risk registers, dependency tracking, launch readiness reviews, and clear status updates that support timely decision-making and escalation management.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to guide technical discussions, architecture reviews, release planning, testing, rollout strategy, and post-launch monitoring to help teams deliver scalable, high-quality customer experiences.
  • Improve organizational effectiveness by using data, root-cause analysis, and AI-powered workflows to remove delivery bottlenecks, strengthen operating rhythms, and help scale TPM and PMO standards across the eBay Live organization.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with 8-12+ years leading large-scale, cross-functional technical programs in product and technology environments.
  • Proven success delivering complex initiatives from concept through launch while navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, mitigating risks, and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong technical fluency with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams, understand system architecture, assess technical trade-offs, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading roadmap planning, dependency management, release coordination, program governance, and Agile execution across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
  • Practitioner-level experience using AI and GenAI tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini, Glean, NotebookLM, Claude, and workflow automation tools to improve planning, reporting, productivity, and execution quality.
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Jira, Airtable, Confluence, and Google Workspace, along with strong analytical, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills in fast-paced, high-growth, matrixed organizations.
